Back to school time... why choose coworkHERS now?

The return to school can be a positive change for both parents and children alike and Co-working spaces can be an excellent resource for mompreneurs looking for support and community as they navigate the challenges of remote working or running a business while also raising a family.

As a parent, I know full well the relief and the freedom that comes with kids going back to school. With the return of regular school schedules, I can more easily plan my workday and focus on my own responsibilities and needs. This newfound freedom allows me to be more productive and efficient at work, while also having peace of mind knowing that my children are in a safe and structured environment during the day.

Co-working spaces are a great option that can provide support and resources for working parents, and even non-working individuals who just need a home away from home. At coworkHERS, you can connect with other like-minded individuals who are also balancing work and family responsibilities, or you can make meaningful connections that can be a valuable part of life and help you build a support system.

Making new friends is challenging when you are an adult. We see kids running around the playground and jumping into spontaneous games of tag with kids they’ve never met and 10 mins later introducing them as their “best friend”.  As adults we sometimes don’t know how to break the ice…but at coworkHERS it’s easy to make new connections.

coworkHERS is a great option for people who are isolated, lonely, new to town, or just lacking friendships and need a place and purpose. At coworkHERS we pride ourselves on creating a safe and judgment-free environment, where even if you struggle with social anxiety, or lack the confidence to speak in front of a group…we help hone those skills at our “Chat n’ Chew” for example. This is our monthly member lunch where I provide the sandwiches and while we have a casual lunch we go around and introduce ourselves and are prompted with a few questions to guide us along and get us speaking in front of a small intimate and safe group. After doing that a few times it gets easier and easier. With practice you will come out of your shell, get to know each other, build trust and connection… and at coworkHERS you couldn’t meet a kinder more supportive group of people who truly want to see each other succeed.

Meeting people can be intimidating, but it's worth it. When in a Co-working space, start by introducing yourself and showing interest in others. You never know what kind of amazing relationships you can build just by putting yourself out there. Additionally, trying to maintain communication and follow up with people can help to solidify a meaningful connection. Remember to be yourself and let your personality shine through, as authenticity is key.

Remember, your thoughts and opinions matter just as much as anyone else's. So go ahead and express yourself with confidence and conviction. You never know, your words might just inspire someone else to do the same.
